Belhaven Black provides the classic deep, dark chocolate and roast coffee aromas and flavours of a classic stout with appreciably less bitterness. The depth of flavour comes from a complex mash bill including pale, crystal and chocolate malts as well as roasted barley – naturally 100% Scottish sourced. The beer is simply hopped with the Challenger hop, providing a clean, low level of bitterness, and brewed using the brewery well water and the Belhaven ale yeast giving a rich, dense, full-bodied pint.
